I was wondering if anyone knows how the fishing is on the truckee river near south virginia st and south sierra st or if it is even legal to fish there. i will be visiting my uncle in the summer (who lives near there) if anyone can help me that would be great
Thanks Barthe2000, It looks like Pyramid,s outflow does tie in with the Truckee River. It’s too hard to tell from the map. No idea about the Pyramid area. It would have to be attempted on a good snow year, not like the last 2 we have had.
I’m just wanting to do the Upper Truckee again, No fun when it’s low and stagnant.
nice video. I was wondering if you knew if one could canoe from the Tahoe to Pyramid lake? I know it is about 70 miles or so, but are there impassable dams or portages?
Not doable in July but the Upper Truckee is and decent.
This river drops quick, late May through June. Rarely into July though. If May stays cool, it could happen. Time will tell.
