I have an unfinished basement with a concrete floor that measures 36′ X 24′. I removed all the old vinyl tile, and I’m left with adhesive residue. There’s also a small area where the concrete needs to be ground down and patched. I have neither the time nor the desire to do all the work to prepare the floor for epoxy paint. How much would a handyman charge for this in the suburban Detroit area? How long would it take? What all needs to be done?
My husband and I want to remodel our kitchen and would like to plan for the time and costs. How long did your kitchen remodel take and were there unexpected expenses you hadn’t counted for that came up? Were you happy with the outcome of the kitchen based on what you spent?
www.palmbeachkitchenremodeling.com Some have been led down the wrong path. The bidder may have left out a few things, or designed a simpler layout. In some cases the most expensive initial estimate my actually have the most value in finished cost. It’s never as easy as just choosing the cheapest price.
lately i been having a lot of work done in the house but i think our handyman is charging more.
6×24 roof: he made a roof on top of the roof and put shingles and he charged 500dls for the work besides the materials.
to renovate the shower with the tile and plumbing he charged 900dls.
to change a window 250dls? are those prices right?
this is in San Antonio, Texas 78228
We are remodeling a house and are thinking about hiring a handyman to do different jobs. How much should we expect to pay him per hour? We will provide all materials. Thank you.
I just had a handyman put up 12 sheets of 4′x8′ sheetrock/drywall onto already existing drywall. He had to cut the sheetrock to accomodate for size and electrical outlets. Also, he put the plastering in between the seams and took out and re-replaced the floor boards. It took him approximately 12 hours overall.
How much would I expect to pay him in labor cost (labor only)?
I’m in the Los Angeles/Orange County area of Southern California.
I have bought the sand paper and primer and paint and brushes and blue tape. The handyman is not a professional painter, but he is good enough.
second question: what is the difference between primer and paint? can we have 2 coats of primer instead of one coat primer and one coat paint? thank you.
How much would you pay a handyman to:
1. replace a bathroom fan that included cutting a larger hole in the celing to make room for the new fan?
2. replace a celing fan? the old one has already been removed
3. replace two outside flood lights?
4. install an 8ft flouresenct light in the garage that included putting the light together (Home Depot purchase)?
