On June 21, 2008, the Virginia Truckee Railroad Historical Society rode the 2:10 Virginia and Truckee Railroad tourist train in Virginia City, Nevada. We left the depot with a diesel at the head of the train. As we returned to the station we were pleased to see the #29 steam locomotive make its return to revenue service. We catch both the Tour Train consist and the diesel w/flatcar w/cannon on the uphill run to VAC. Flatcar and cannon will be part of the Comstock Civil War Reenaction, some video of which we will get to in a few days.
